Here's an attractive project involving the construction of a powder-coated steel terrace on which Metadeck profiles have been installed to waterproof the terrace and support the deck boards.

4 KEY POINTS

  • Watertight terrace
  • Terrace with powder-coated metal structure
  • Metadeck waterproof joisting
  • Self-supporting waterproof terrace structure

This is the end of the installation of the Metadeck profiles on the steel structure. The ends of the Metadeck profiles drain into a rainwater collection channel.
Installing the Metadeck profiles on the metal structure is practically the easiest part of the project, since it represents the equivalent of a working day for 2 people.
The boards are fixed directly to the Metadeck profiles without the need for two joist blocks. We can see the preparation of the starter board.

Here we go... The deck boards are now being installed, and fitting them onto the Metadeck profiles is extremely simple. All in all, it will take between 2 and 3 days to fit all the deck boards onto the structure.
