The MetaDeck watertight profile is easy to install. great simplicitywhich gives it a extreme reliability.

Once the MetaDeck profiles have been assembled and fixed to the structure, we have 3 zones:

ZONE 1 This is the "gutter" area, which is 12 cm wide at the bottom and 14 cm wide at the top, and 50 mm high. This is the area that receives and drains the rainwater, and must obviously never be pierced.

ZONE 2 The "triangle" zone, protected from rainwater and always dry.
It is the lower part of this area that will be drilled and fixed to the supporting structure.
You can also drill into this area from underneath to attach light elements (decoration, lighting, etc.). Every precaution must be taken to avoid drilling through the gutter.

ZONE 3 The "deck board support" area formed by the 60 mm wide horizontal top fin. This area can be drilled to fix the deck boards. The water that runs off through the screw hole (the screw that holds the deck board in place) falls into the "gutter" area.

Watertightness lifetime warranty

By design, the profile is 100% watertight and no joint or sealant is required to guarantee watertightness in the running section.

Let's take a closer look at ZONE 3, which supports the deck boards.

This photo shows that any water that might pass through the screw hole falls into the "gutter" area. This is why the watertightness is guaranteed for life. By design, the profile is 100% watertight and seamlessNo mastic is required to guarantee watertightness in the running section.

Even where the boards meet, watertightness is guaranteed: the screw holes, whether on the right or left side of the profile, always fall into a gutter.

Council A "triangle" is formed at the bottom end of the profiles. We recommend carefully chew the inside of this triangle (SP925, silicone, PU sealant).
This will prevent any seepage in the event of the "drop of water" backing up in heavy rain.
