Fixing XtremDeck aluminium slats to aluminium joists

Preparation XtremDeck blades 

Place the hybrid mountingPlace the "claw" side of the XtremDeck on the blade to be fixed. The claw hooks into the grooves provided on the XtremDeck blade. 

For aluminium joists from 2 mm thickyou can screw fixing directly, without pre-drillingFor thicknesses of 3 or 4 mm (max), we recommend that you pre-drill the joist and screw carefully. 

Point screw location 

Drill slightly biased to avoid damaging the edge of the blade 

Drilling diameter 4 mm 

Screw on the bracket, loosely 

Leave the fastener slightly openThis will allow the next blade to slide into place. 

Position the next blade and screw in the fastener completely, screwing between the two blades. 

The fixing is very effective. No need to overtighten. Tap the blade with a mallet to press it down firmly and then move on to the next blade. 

Use a torx 20 bitlong and thin 

The end result, perfect.
