Discover step-by-step how to install an AridDeck aluminium decking on a terrace, balcony or waterproof pontoon.
Creating the structure
Ideally, AridDeck is installed on a wooden structure, such as wooden or composite deck boards. The joists should be spaced 50 cm apart, and the structure is protected from the elements because the boards are watertight. However, we recommend a structure made from Class 4 treated pine (as a minimum).

Each AridDeck aluminium decking board is screwed to the structure.
Here's a photo of the AridDeck structure and waterproof slats, seen from below. The whole structure is perfectly stable, rigid and watertight.

Here is an example of a very simple, robust terrace on stilts (on posts) with decking in AridDeck aluminium slats.

Watertight terrace by the lake
All applications are possible, including residential applications where maintenance needs to be reduced to a strict minimum. The resulting surface is immediately usable, non-slip, aesthetically pleasing and highly resistant under load.
Marine-grade aluminium is particularly recommended for seaside or lakeside terraces.
