Powder coating standard
It is possible to apply a powder coating of different colors to our aluminum terrace blades, which you can find by clicking here:
Powder coating anti-slip
Powder coating, “ISR” from AkzoNobel Interpon, is the world leader in powder coating.
This process involves electrostatically applying the powder to the metal surface, followed by high-temperature baking in an oven. This baking melts the powder, which then forms a uniform, strong layer.
The main benefit of anti-slip powder coating is its ability to provide a textured surface that improves grip, reducing the risk of slips and falls.
Epoxy anti-slip
XtremDeck is made in France, which allows us to offer you our products. We first apply a very resistant bonding layer based on two-component epoxy resin.
Then we apply a UV-resistant polyester paint loaded with anti-slip granulate. It is possible to dose the anti-slip granulate up to “industrial” type densities.
Conversely, for projects where aesthetics are secondary (industrial platform, inaccessible roof terraces, archive rooms, technical or IT rooms, etc.), it is possible to opt for XtremDeck slats in raw, non-powder-coated aluminum. The price is of course lower in this case.
Outdoors, it will be necessary to accept the oxidation of the aluminum, which will gradually be covered with a layer of gray aluminum oxide ("alumina"). This layer of alumina is a "self-protection" of the aluminum.
